Noella Bergener on Why She Broke Fourth Wall on RHOC, Diss

Noella Bergener was devastated when Heather Dubrow suggested her latest life happenings, seemingly giving a nod to her divorce from James Bergener and the death of her father, were “karma.”

Following the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which featured the ladies in Aspen, Noella spoke out against Heather’s harsh words and said she hoped her castmate’s soul would “evolve” as Heather reacted to her “weak” diss and suggested she is toxic.

“That was a nuke to my heart, what she said. I even had to break a fourth wall at that moment. I’m like, ‘Is this what we’ve become? Is this what we’re doing?’” Noella recalled on the March 30 episode of the RHOC: After Show.

While Noella was majorly offended by Heather’s comment, Heather felt she was asking for it when she suggested that karma was out to get her.

“By this point, I know a lot about Noella’s backstory and I don’t understand how she can throw the word karma at me. My karma is good. I’m a good person. I have a nice life. I have a good family. It’s not perfect but I’m proud and grateful. What I don’t need is a person hurling lies, not just to me, but to my friends,” Heather noted.

As RHOC fans will recall, Heather reminded Noella that she had accused her of a physical assault while enjoying a meal with the cast.

“She’s the one that brought it up. She’s the one who keeps questioning my sanity. So it’s like, ’No, I’m not insane. You acted crazy this night and that happened,’” Noella explained. “So at some point, just to shut it down, I’m just, ’True or false? Did you put your hands on any member of the crew the night of your dinner party?’ Because I saw her push a camera. And she said, ‘False.’ And I’m like, ‘Good, but this is your karma. It doesn’t matter.’ I used it in a sense so karma isn’t cause and effect. Karma is are you going to learn from your life lessons and become a better person and for your soul to evolve.”

Although Noella is convinced that Heather got physical with a crew member, Heather has maintained that she did not and warned Noella to be careful of what she says.

“If someone says something about you, whether it’s true or not, there’s always going to be a fraction of people who believe it and you have to be very very careful what you say. If you say I’m a fake b-tch, I can deal with that. Let’s talk about it. Have your opinion of me. But do not make up lies about me,” Heather stated.

During another segment of the RHOC: After Show, Heather reacted to her ongoing issues with Noella and Noella’s suggestion that she’s “weak,” and noted that going into their girls trip in Aspen, she hoped the two of them could “restart.”

“She wouldn’t let me talk and that’s what always happens whenever Noella and I try to talk… [So] I walked away because it wasn’t worth it… And she said I was ‘weak.’ And then one of the other girls was like, ‘You should say something,’ I go, ‘Consider the source. I don’t care if she thinks I’m weak.’”

Heather then asked, giving a nod to Noella’s claims of assault against her, “Which is it, am I powerful and slamming people against walls or am I weak?”

Despite her tension with Noella, Heather said that she planned to have a good time in Aspen.

“I can be self-protective, hang out more with the people I enjoy, not everyone has to do everything together… So I thought, ‘I’m going to be self-protective when I need to be and be polite and see how it goes,’” she recalled.

“I don’t have drama in my everyday life. I think I’ve done a really good job over the years of extracting myself from toxic relationships and limiting my exposure to people that I can’t extract myself from,” she added.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
